The company is expected to unveil its new iPhones — or at least the 4.7-inch version, probably an iWatch, rollout of iOS and Mac OS X Yosemite among  other things at the event.

The venue choice is interesting. The company usually holds its event at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco or its campus, but this time it has picked Flint Center — a place where its corporate headquarters are located. The event will begin at 10:00 am (local time). Also, Flint Center has more sitting capacity than any other venue that Apple has picked till date. MacRumors folks managed to find a picture of the Flint Center’s campus. as you can see, the massive structure — which seems to contain three stories — has been kept wrapped with a white barricade.

What to expect in the new iPhone 6?

We’ve already talked about the new iPhones in great length before — TL;DR: Sapphire display, and a better camera. But since then, we’ve learned a lot more about the new iPhones. Apple expert John Gruber believes that the 4.7-inch iPhone will have 1334 × 750, 326 PPI screen resolution, and the 5.5-inch will sport 2208 × 1242, 461 PPI resolution. Since then we have also heard that the new iPhones will have NFC this time, a feature that has been available on Android smartphones for quite a while.

iWatch?

The company is also expected to launch its first smartwatch this year. At the Code event a  few months ago, Apple SVP Eddy Cue said that the Apple’s fall product pipeline is the best he’d seen in his 25 years at the company. But will the Cupertino giant reveal that product at its September 9 event? We’re not entirely sure.  Also, there is a possibly that Apple might only launch the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 next month, and have the other (5.5-inch iPhone) for an event for later this year. Fun trivia, if you put the 9/9 date upside down, it becomes 6/6. Two iPhones 6 huh? What’s your thought on this? Share with us below!
